Greco-Roman team of 10 Indian wrestlers set off for Serbia

Individual World Cup: The Indian Greco-Roman team of 10 wrestlers left for Serbia on December 10 (Wednesday) to participate in the Individual World Cup. The tournament is scheduled for December 12-18 in Belgrade. United World Wrestling (UWW) will kick off the Greco-Roman tournament will kick off the event with Greco-Roman competitions.
India sent the same team from the Asian Championship for the World Cup. In the Asian competition, India had recorded its best performance in its history with five medals. To add to the glorious race, Sunil Kumar has made his name in history by ending the 27-year drought to win Asian Championship gold.
The Individual World Cup will be the first tournament hosted by UWW since lockdown in March.
Meanwhile, the women’s wrestling team will depart on December 12. As for the star-studded men’s team, its departure is scheduled for December 14.
