Iran wins two gold medals at 2019 Greco-Roman Junior World Championship


Iranian Mohammad Naghousi edged Russian Damir Rakhimov in the 77 kg final to win the world title.

The other gold was won by Aliakbar Yousofi who dominated American Cohlton Michael Schultz in the 130 kg final match.

Shahin Eidi Badaghi and Poya Soulat Dadmarz also won two bronze medals for Iran in 65kg and 55kg.

After Saturday’s matches, Iran ranks second with 90 points after Russia who collected 97 points. Competition will continue today in the next five weight classes.

The 2019 edition of the World Junior Championships started on August 12 in Tallinn, Estonia in the freestyle, Greco-Roman and women categories. The event will end on August 18.
