Iranian sacred Greco-Roman wrestling team in Asia


TEHRAN – Iranian Greco-Roman grapplers won the 2019 Asian Wrestling Championship title on Sunday.

Iranian wrestlers won four gold and three bronze medals at the competition held in Xi’an, China.

Hossein Nouri and Amir Ghasemi Monjezi won two gold medals in 87kg and 130kg on the first day of competition.

Iranian wrestlers also won two bronze medals on Saturday.

Saman Abdevali in the 63 kg and Mohammad Ali Geraei in the 77 kg won two bronze medals on Saturday.

Mohammad Reza Geraei won the gold medal in the 72kg on Sunday.

Saeid Abdevali also won Iran’s fourth gold medal in the 82kg.

Mahdi Aliyari won the bronze medal in the 97 kg class on the second day.

Iran’s freestyle team had previously won the title in the competition.
