Ukrainian Alla Cherkasova at the Olympic Games in Tokyo won the bronze medal in freestyle wrestling (up to 68 kg), after beating the Japanese, Rio Olympic champion Sara Dosho and taking third place in the standings.
The fight between the athletes began at 8:55 p.m. local time. The Ukrainian scored a clear victory, having won the sixth bronze medal for the Ukrainian team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Earlier it became known that Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestlers Zhan Beleniuk and Parviz Nasibov beat their rivals in the semi-finals at the Tokyo Olympics and advanced to the final of the competition, securing minimal cash.
In addition, Ukrainian athlete Iryna Koliadenko, who lost in the semi-final against Kyrgyz athlete Aisuluu Tynybekova, will also fight for a bronze medal in freestyle (weight up to 62 kg).
The Tokyo Olympics take place from July 23 to August 8. Ukraine has already won a silver medal and six bronze medals.
