WWE fan Elisah Spencer says he attacked wrestler Seth Rollins for ‘legitimate beef’ over catfish scam

The 5’4 “fan who took on a WWE wrestler from a front row seat said he had” legitimate beef “but wants everyone to know he’s” passed. “Elisah Spencer, a 24-year-old Brooklyn resident, chased Seth Rollins during Monday Night Raw this week at Barclays Center, punching him and bringing him to the ground.

Spencer said in New York Daily News, “I jumped from where I was sitting. I ran and speared Seth Rollins. I opened his lip and he got into a headache. I broke the headband, and was trying to grab it, then the refs and security guards separated us… I apologized to WWE for my actions. I had a real beef, but as an adult I could have settled it differently … If I saw him today I wouldn’t attack him. I’ve evolved.

Spencer’s ‘legitimate beef’ was a cat fishing scam – the fan met the wrestler on a date years ago and began to correspond at around the same time with someone pretending to be for Rollins via WhatsApp. Spencer told the Daily News, “He would ask me to send him gift cards in exchange for money, mainly $ 500 or more to see if I was loyal. He asked me to be a wrestling blogger for him. I wanted to climb the ranks. Spencer spent about $ 3,000, he said. He is accused of attempted assault.
